The Missing Puzzle Piece

"Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me." - John 15:4 NKJV

Have you ever experience that phase of life where although you’re going hard in your career, ministry, new job search, etc. it feels like you are not seeing the return on your investment? I'm sure you’ll agree that the 70+ hour work weeks you spend hustling to get ahead seem minuscule when you’re still in the same position with no social life after 10 years. It's even worse when your pay does not reflect the effort that you put in, or your money seems to fly off into the sunset every payday. These are all situations that should make us stop and re-evaluate if the direction that we are going is the one God has for us, or more importantly, if we are even on the path that He has prepared for us!

In life, it is so easy to get caught up in the "get money & hustle hard" mindset, and when you live in New York you can up that ante by 10! Don't get me wrong, working hard towards your goals and passion is a great thing to do, and it will definitely yield an acceptable return. However, when God is not involved in your plans you will never reach the full potential and greatness that is within you. You also will not have the full understanding of how to build and blossom where you are planted in order to move to the next level and/or into a better opportunity. The fact of the matter is with God you have a clarity about what you should do and how you should do it. It's like having a blueprint laid before you and all have to do is be obedient and follow it. You won't have to worry about failure or uncertainty in any area of your life because you have an assurance that with God all things are working for your good!

There is a certain type of return that comes from investing your time in doing things God's way. It's the type of return that others may not understand, but it will be noticeable and they will ask you how they can receive the same results. The answer will always be “to build with God instead of without him.” His empire knows no end, and cannot be brought down. I don't know about you, but that is the type of lifelong insurance policy that I want to sign up for and you can too!
